I wanted to see if I could do a "max stress" run by maxing out my stress as early as possible and then no bombing to the end. It was fun! Final score was 334,600.
I'm a crew/port dev from a group called PortMaster https://portmaster.games/. We port various games and even applications to a large number of linux handhelds using multiple operating systems. Please feel free to come check out our awesome discord.
I recently was able to get this game working on my handhelds. I would like to ask if I may please have your permission to port your game to PortMaster, in a "ready to run" format?
On behalf of myself and the others at PortMaster.. Thanks so much for any and all time and thought you may lend towards this, thank you!
Very good! Felt like an improvement on Vertiga on all aspects for me. Love the art, music, and gameplay!! Reminded a bit of conny pdc games, from the ~2005, 2010 years :)
Beautiful game! The pixel art is wonderful, the artistic direction is very well done. The gameplay is very good and fluid, although I'm very bad at games like this haha.
This is a very fun game, like the other in the same jam in previous theme iteration, which is Gotcha Gun. A little bit less this time, and only one boss
Graphics and BGMs are always bangers. I like the idea of the stress gain/relieve mechanic. Being a way to control bullets, as well to increase chain is very nice thing, but as well keeping the stress at manageable levels by gain again from killing/grazing, which creates a really nice way to control difficulty. Kind of reminds me of some raizing games I watched, like battle garegga. I think you really did a great job on this one. I would still prefer Gotcha Gun imo, but this one's really cool too.
Awesome artstyle, Amazing game feel and so polished within a short amount of time.
here were the things i got confused with
- I didnt realize that the stress bar was tied to close calls with bullets until a second play through. (maybe due to lack of sound indication)
- i wasnt sure if the laser was to deal more damage or just to have precise slower control of your character.
i think it would be cool if the laser was an actual long beam so its more visually distinct and if it did more damage so in more combat situations it would make sense to switch between them.

I made it to the end and had a good time trying this out.
I kind of forgot to use the C key till the boss round 2 but overall this was a nice arcade feel.Very good! Felt like an improvement on Vertiga on all aspects for me. Love the art, music, and gameplay!! Reminded a bit of conny pdc games, from the ~2005, 2010 years :)
